This weekend I appeared at the Fright Night Film Fest in Louisville, KY to promote my work with Valiant Comics, my Malevolent trade series and both the comic and forthcoming movie adaptation of "GIRL NUMBER THREE" which begins filming this week! The most thrilling part of the Fest was finally seeing my leading lady, Julie Streble in full on Max mode. Julie had her hair cut and styled Saturday and then rushed to the show in her French Maid costume from the film (axe in tow) to promote the movie and the comic. She did a Hell of a job. No one could resist this tall, beautiful vixen...we are so lucky to have such a great actress who just so happens to be as sweet in person as she is gorgeous. This is a quick mock poster I put together this morning.
Thanks. Yes, Julie is a knock out and her hairdo for the film is not only the way I drew the character in the comic but the do really makes Julie stand out. She went from being a pretty girl to a girl who demands attention when she walks in a room. She's also very humble about it because she used to be overwieght so being the HOT GIRL IN THE ROOM is new to her. Most of all, she's a damn strong actress. We just started filming yesterday and it was so cool. If you are on myspace check me out on there at [link] have all kinds of pics in my GIRL NUMBER THREE album. It's funny you talked about getting a French Maid costume. Julie's boyfriend's daughter wants to dress like that for Halloween too...she even wants the haircut. Even funnier was that I recently wrote a sequel to the comic and in it I talk about how the year after the events of the comic, the most popular Halloween costume for women that year was a bloody French Maid costume and Don Post even released a "Max Axe" prop to go with it.

Yeah I'm really thinking French Maid for Halloween this year!
You think it would be ok to walk around with an axe though in public?
Probably not ... but being in an outfit like that .. I might need it .. well to make some people behave .. maybe? lol
