Alright....I sifted through the first few pages looking for one I'd like. And this is the one; it covers the characters, and three action scenes that are relevant. And you included the bullet train, which was irking me a little bit for its absence. The detail is well done on the characters, and theres a dual layer working from the foreground items and the background T I R lines.

I like how people are being creative, but yours is more to my liking because its a comic cover; its supposed to get you interested in the plot. Its not "the" comic book cover for introducing the plot, but it is the comic book cover for pulling me in.

Thank you. Yeah, I noticed that the "comic" element was missing in most of the entries. Then again, I'm a comic book artist so maybe I have more instinct for it. I agree though, a cover is supposed to tell the story in one image in a way and is supposed to sell the book. It is supposed to feature the most exciting moment in the book (which to me was the motorcycle race) and being that this is an INCEPTION comic it of course needs to feature Leonardo DiCaprio to make that clear. He's your star, he sells the material. The cover also needed to feature Ken Watanabe in that this whole story revolved around his character. My only regret is that I didn't get to adding his mistress. I planned to, but there just wasn't enough room. It would have been overflooded. Including Joseph and Lukas instead ties in to the movie, letting fans know that this a prequel and the bullet train does that job as well letting fans know that this is what happened just before the film begins. These are all factors that need to be included in doing a cover for anybook. Finding the exciting moment in the story, establishing the mood and defining the most important characters in the book while staying true to the nature of the overall piece. And yes, this is a comic book cover afterall and I'd say only 10 percent of the entries I've seen kept that in mind. Thank you for noticing all of that.

You're quite welcome, and I agree; its a little annoying that there is too much going on, just enough to get the point across but adding one more element would make it too chaotic. MAYBE the mistress could've been in the city scene, but it would detract from it in my opinion.

I like an artist who knows his medium, where the lines should be drawn and then taking whats left to the maximum potential.

You struck a good balance there, between style and creativity in the medium. Here's hoping you win!
