This is something I did for fun last night very quickly. There's so much anticipation to see what actor Jackie Earle Haley looks like as Freddy Krueger in the Nightmare on Elm Street remake. I took the liberty of drawing the actor ala Freddy just to pump us all up. I tried to bring a new twist to the make-up while sticking closely to the original design used on Robert Englund in the original series. Just for fun.
I have high hopes. I am a major fan of the original and I am just happy Freddy will rise again. I think Jackie Earle will be a great Freddy and director Samuel Bayer is someone I have enjoyed as well. I am a big fan of Garbage and he directed many of their videos. He's got a great style.

They're remaking everything these days. It's ridiculous. The most ridiculous I have heard is they are remaking "BAD LIEUTENANT" with Nicolas Cage. Not only are they replacing Harvey Keitel in one of his most incredible performances with the washed up Nick Cage, not only are they remaking an NC-17 film which will probably be cleaned up for a lower rating, but the movie is only 17 years old! I also heard they are remaking THE CROW! Not only is that one only 15 years old but to me it is disrespectful to remake a great film that the star died making. No one could play Draven better than Brandon Lee--it was a testament to him and should be left alone.

Awesome work! I too have high expectations for this "remake". Nightmare on Elm Street (the ORIGINAL), is one of my all time favorite movies. My biggest hope is that they don't totally F@#%K up the story.
Awesome! I have to admit, I'm a little disappointed to hear that Robert Englund wouldn't reprise his role as Freddy. I mean there are some better than others, but with Jason, there's no memorable face. Just the mask. But we'll give him a try. Good work though. You can completely tell that is Jackie.
I just give up. Officially. I may as well, since my last dozen or so DVD purchases have all either been new foreign movies, or 70s classics. The last movie I saw in a cinema was Pan's Labyrinth...way we're going, I don't see me going back for a while yet...
