This was a pin-up I did for my buddies Jason Monks and Bruce Jones. It is based on their comic book "Scorched Earth Chronicles" which is a post-apocalyptic dark comedy/action extravaganza and destined for cult status. Leads Shotgun and Deadeye are seen in the middle of a horde of zombies at an Iron Maiden concert. The story is a "what if" deal where the Russians dropped the bombs on the US in the 1980s. The book actually spawned from a screenplay they had written back in high school about four headbangers driving around Louisville looking for tickets to the Iron Maiden concert. Unfortunately, "Detroit Rock City" stole their idea. But seeing these bangers fighting off zombies, giant mutant rats and cyborgs in post-apocalyptic Louisville in the mid 80s is even funner!
