Well it took me two days but with a 6 month old to take care of and a full time job, things are going to be taking up a lot more of my time. But anyway, I had been wanting to do a WATCHMEN movie poster for a while and then I started getting a lot of requests for one on myspace so I decided to try and pop one out real quick. And here it is.
I threw in Sally Jupiter and Hollis Mason in the background because I haven't seen the older heroes included into any of the other Watchmen art that has been created unless the artwork is only dedicated to the Minutemen. But let's face it, Sally and Hollis are just as important to the overall book as the rest of the Watchmen are.
This is my tribute to the amazing comic and the great movie adaptation. Watchmen rocks about as hard as possible.
I must not be doing something on this site. People have always told me that not enough people are looking at my work on deviantart and I'm starting to buy that now. Another artist posted a WATCHMEN peice about 4 hours before I did yesterday and while his peice is very impressive the stats on his peice are amazing in comparrison. He's had 36 comments to my 3. 163 faves to my 26. It's been viewed 1,097 times while mine has only been viewed 115 times. When you add that up, I guess I am doing far better. If 1,097 people viewed my peice and added it to their faves at the rate you all have so far, I'd have like 250 faves to his 163. I am just curious how some artists on here get so much traffic while often my work goes unnoticed. I'm not complaining or anything. It's just the fact has been pointed out to me in the past from other deviant members and I have no idea why it is. Is there something special these artists are doing to get attention?

Oh, how I envy your sheer talent! You accomplished more in two days than I could ever hope to complete in two YEARS. Bravo! Not to mention the fact that you captured each of the characters wonderfully. Each of their personalities is visible in the faces you illustrated.
I really appreciate the kind words about my artwork and talent. While I enjoy making these peices, it's always great to know that others are enjoying them as well. The key to accomplishing this stuff is to just stick to it. Then it won't take you two years to pull off. Practice, practice, practice, learn, learn, learn. It's the only way to grow and improve. Keep drawing.

Wow so you drew this? It's so realistic it looks like you just took the photos and did something to make them more cartoony. It's really great. And I love that you included more of the Minutemen

Thanks. I had to have the Minutemen...at least Hollis and Sally, they are just as important as the other characters.
